[edit] pilot positions
The driving position of the driver depends on rider body-(the geometry anthropometry) combined with the geometry of the bike itself. These factors create a series of three basic positions [57].
- Sport – the pilot leans forward into the wind and the weight of the upper torso is supported by air pressure while the motorcycle is moving at speed, usually over 50 mph (80 kph). The footrests are below the driver or the rear. The crown area of reduced wind resistance and allow higher speeds. However, in the low speed position that produces the rider's weight on the arm in place, and is tiring quickly to the wrists of pilots unknown. In addition, the position sport is more difficult for the pilot to look through the foot traffic. Many sport bikes are narrow, swept-back handlebars or clip-ons (heels short tight telescopic fork tubes). Depending on the style of bicycle racing, most have full fairing and often come with nearly complete motor enclosure, while these vehicles with a sporty driving position is becoming more diversified, with the commercialization of the plant naked bike, street racers Backhoe Service, and mixtures of styles, have different riding positions somewhere in the range of standard sports [58].
