Can I use clothes dirt bike with a sport bike?

I'm getting a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250 and I plan on going at highway speeds often with him. I'm new to the motorcycle world. I was searching online gear and somehow I like the look of the arts better dirt bike. Are they very different in terms of protection? Or is the mix of clothing dirt bike with a sport bike just not done? lol

Its just not done and you should get a helmet integral to the use of the street. Indeed, any body armor that protects against falls that really should work. But I'm not a security systems engineer so I can not say 100% it will work. Boots and pants should not be probs, upper body, you may want a little more padding on the back. Also get something with high visibility, when I ride my bike sports also have a high vis vest (yellow).
