Whatever your favorite sport is, there are hundreds of events taking place in Britain during 2010 to maintain entertaining.

The main talking point is likely to be the World Cup in South Africa. England is the only British team to be represented and a group formed by the U.S., Algeria and Slovenia, the three lions will be sure of advancing to the Knock Out stages before the English press is overly excited about the team's chances of winning the tournament.

April is the time as athletics London Marathon Virgin puts its best foot forward on Sunday 25. European Badminton Championships held in Manchester and the famous boat race between Oxford and Cambridge Universities will be held on Saturday 3 April. June is the time for cricket and there is evidence of several matches in the UK throughout the month and more in the summer.
